Especially helpful sections for using commas will
be “Word and Sentence Level” and “Ask Grammar,
Quizzes, Search Devices.” Under “170+ Active
Quizzes,”
scroll down until you find a section called “Punctuation &
Basic Mechanics.” The first four interactive tests are on the
use of commas. Do tests 1 through 3 to check your own knowledge of
the rules. Then do the fourth test, in which you are asked to punctuate
a paragraph, using commas as needed. Check your work against the answers
given by the program. If you have questions that were unanswered by
the testing process, you may want to print your answers to discuss
them with your instructor.
